Terminology

Definitions of key terms as they are used across the Xevzaxoruli website and within the platform's organisational framework.

About this glossary

The terms below are used throughout this site with specific meanings tied to the Xevzaxoruli information-organisation context. Some of these terms have broader meanings in other settings. The definitions here describe how they are used within the Xevzaxoruli platform specifically.

Understanding these definitions before engaging with the platform or submitting an enquiry may help you describe your situation more precisely and interpret the support team's responses more accurately.

Access arrangement

A specific agreement between Xevzaxoruli Pty Ltd and a user that defines the scope of the user's access to the platform, including which content is available and what classification logic applies. Access arrangements are established through the enquiry process and are specific to the user and context for which they are agreed.

Classification

The process of examining an item of content and assigning it to a category within the platform's organisational framework. Classification is applied consistently to content of the same type and context. The resulting category determines how the item is stored, how it relates to other items, and how it is presented during review.

Classification layer

The first of three layers in the Xevzaxoruli organisational framework. The classification layer receives incoming content, applies the relevant organisational rules, and assigns each item to an appropriate category. The outputs of the classification layer feed into the structural layer.

Content item

A discrete piece of information processed by the platform. A content item may be a document, a record, a structured data entry, or another unit of information that can be classified and arranged within the platform's framework. The nature of content items depends on the specific access arrangement and the type of information involved.

Cross-reference

A navigable link between two content items that share a meaningful relationship. Cross-references are established during the structural arrangement stage and are visible to users through the review interface. Following a cross-reference takes the user to a related content item within the same organisational structure.

Enquiry

A message submitted to the Xevzaxoruli support team through the enquiry form on this site. An enquiry may request information about the platform, ask about access arrangements, or raise a specific question about a platform capability. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically result in an access arrangement being established.

Organisational framework

The system of rules and structures that governs how content is classified, arranged, and presented within the Xevzaxoruli platform. The framework operates across three layers: classification, structural arrangement, and presentation. It is applied consistently across content of the same type and context within a given access arrangement.

Presentation layer

The third layer in the Xevzaxoruli organisational framework. The presentation layer renders the organised content structure through the review interface, making it available for examination by the user. The presentation layer reflects the decisions made in the classification and structural layers.

Review interface

The part of the Xevzaxoruli platform through which users examine organised content. The review interface presents content items, their associated metadata, and their cross-references in a format designed to support deliberate examination. It is the primary point of interaction between users and the organised content held within the platform.

Structural arrangement

The process of positioning classified content within a hierarchical or relational structure that connects related items and makes the information environment navigable. Structural arrangement is the second layer in the Xevzaxoruli organisational framework and operates on the output of the classification layer.

Structural layer

The second of three layers in the Xevzaxoruli organisational framework. The structural layer takes the output of the classification layer and positions content items within a navigable structure. This structure reflects the relationships between items and supports cross-referencing and hierarchical navigation through the review interface.
